I think I’m falling in love with gRPC; however, it’s still WAY overkill for what most applications actually need. If I had an application that required continuous bi-directional communication, WOW, yea, gRPC all the way! It’s a great project, but most of us can get along without the gRPC overkill. That being said, gRPC is way cool because of how it works WITH your fave language, Ruby, PHP, C++ or whatever. Rockstar stuff.
