If you have 50+ fields on a form, you need to be fired as a UX developer! LOL!

But seriously, no form should have more than 10 fields at any one time, and preferably nor more than 4 to 6. Use a wizard if you need to collect that much data.

And yes, it does use and need the resources to consume the enhanced requests, but those requests are very light-weight.
