Not at all. But these are two separate issues.

Jesus said we are to help the poor, that is righteous. But we are not to enable laziness in doing so. A decent safety net is one that helps people out of temporary bad circumstances but also promotes a good work ethic and not just laziness with an unlimited monthly check. A real safety net would reward those who work their way out of poverty.

As far as the abortion thing goes, both of my children are adopted. Rather than kill them, their parents gave them over to people who would see that their lives are honored and become prosperous.
